Roupala is a genus of 50 species from Central and tropical South America. They can be grown in botanic gardens.
R.boissieriana, syn. Roupala montana, is a large shrub with yellow flowers. R.complicata grows between 5-8 feet and has red fragrant flowers.
These plants requires a tropical environment and should be planted in a moisture-rententive compost consisting of peat and loam.
