Cephalotaxus is a genus of hardy evergreen trees and shrubs. They produce olive resembling fruits with male and female flowers on different fruits.
C.fortunei reaches 20 feet tall shrub or tree from Western China. C.hattingonia drupacea is shorter at 10 feet, gray ragged bark and 1.5 inch long leaves.
They can be placed in any fertile soil but preferably the soil should not include chalk.
