Pescatoria
Pescatoria is a genus of 17 species of orchids from South America. They lack pseudobulbs with a tufted habit of growth. They have large, attractive flowers on spikes shorter than the leaves.
Grow them in well-crocked pans with a compost of equal parts osmunda fibre and sphagnum moss with charcoal pieces added. They require a moist atmosphere and regular watering throughout the year. Keep them in a location which is shaded from bright sunlight.
The temperature should remain above 16oC during the winter and below 24oC in the summer.
