Cattleya is a genus of epiphytic orchids with around 50 species. They produce pseudobulbs with leaves and some species have clusters of waxy colourful flowers.

Cattleya should be grown in pots with compost of three parts osmunda fibre and one part sphagnum moss.

During the summer, keep the temperature between 18 and 27oC, while in the winter the temperature should stay between 13-16oC.
